Annie Miller

December 2023 Update:

Annie is enjoying the University of Tulsa and is loving playing in the TU Orchestra especially. She is the principal oboe and had tons of solos at the concert last week. She’s also taking voice lessons. When asked what her favorite class is—she always says it’s Music Theory 3.”

“A student at Muscogee High School with a 4.25-grade point average, she has also demonstrated remarkable dedication to community service. Despite facing physical challenges due to a ski accident where she fell from a chair lift, Annie has never let her wheelchair slow her down and has continued to pursue her passions with exceptional drive and determination.

Annie is an outstanding student with a keen intellect and natural talent in the field of music. Her dedication to her craft is second to none, and her commitment to excellence has always been evident in everything she does. She has a remarkable voice, and is able to perform with incredible passion, poise, and skill. Undoubtedly, she will continue to excel in her musical pursuits, and make a meaningful impact at Tulsa University and beyond.

Aside from her academic and musical accomplishments, Annie has also demonstrated a deep commitment to community service. Despite her physical challenges, she has always been eager to give back to her community, and has volunteered her time and energy to various causes and organizations. Her selflessness and compassion are truly admirable, and she is a shining example of what it means to be a responsible and engaged citizen.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Annie highly enough for this award. Her exceptional academic record, musical talent, and dedication to community service are truly remarkable, and she is an inspiration to all who know her. I am confident that she will continue to achieve great things, and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with such an outstanding student.”
